History

The Shelter House Assembly of God was the first Pentecostal church in their area. The church originated at Stone Station in the 50’s. Since then, some other churches were born out of the congregants. Our church left Stone Station in 1964 and broke off into 2 churches (ours and another one in Zanesville). The Shelter House Assembly of God had been in that same building since we left the stone station in 1964.
